Pavlovsk is a great place to get away from it all. While much more humble and less touristy than the palaces of Peterhof and Pushkin, the reconstructed palace at Pavlovsk is still very interesting, and the park is a wonderful place to walk around the romantic ruins, statues, forests and streams. The park in Pavlovsk is by the way bigger than those of Peterhof and Pushkin.
The Palace can be seen as a kind of monument to Alexander III and Paul I two Russian emperors. The tour takes you to the state and private rooms located in the Central and Arsenal blocks and associated with Paul I and Alexander III. You will get an insight into the everyday life of the Imperial court and court nobility of the period.
